At Champaign we play at the University of Illinois's IMPE building where there are six squash courts (4 converted racquetball and 2 international).

In Peoria, another group of us play at the downtown YMCA where there is one converted hardball (18.5 feet wide) and one converted racquetball court narrow court. The YMCA is open to the public and charges $6 for a day pass. They also offer other options such as a $50/ 8-week squash league.

In Quad-city there are two US hardball courts (18.5' wide). A day pass is $8, but entry is free if you are already a YMCA member from another city.

In Streator a group plays in the Streator YMCA. They have a nice converted racquetball court that is 20' wide with a glass back-wall. On Saturday they are open from 8:30 to 5PM and on Sunday from 12 PM to 9 PM. Anyone can purchase a day pass for $5.

Since there are hardly any sport stores carrying squash equipment in central Illinois, check out:

  • Winningsquash.com
  • SquashGear.com

I and other club members have ordered stuff from them and was very pleased with the service, shipping, packaging and price. Usually I get what I order in less than four days!
